Made from high quality Brazilian pine, it won't warp like softwoods can and is sanded to a smooth finish that won't cause splinters or roughen hands, especially during extended use.
The top end is rounded for comfortable handling and the bottom end is flat cut (not cut with a screw thread) for direct attachment to broom heads or connector sockets.
