Feather Edge Fence Panels
Feather edge fence panels, also known as closeboard fence panels, are a popular type of fencing commonly used for boundary and privacy purposes. Similar in aesthetics to post & rail fencing, they are constructed using overlapping vertical boards that are tapered, or "feathered," to create a continuous look through the entire run of the fence. Feather edge fence panels are typically built with vertically arranged boards that are overlapped and fixed to horizontal supporting rails as opposed to Lap fence panels which are constructed from horizontal boards secured to vertical rails. The boards themselves are made of pressure-treated wood, to enhance durability and resistance against weather conditions. Damaged panels can often be repaired by purchasing individual feather edge boards and replacing them using lightweight nails or brads.
