Opti-Mix Mortar Plasticiser is a highly concentrated air entraining liquid plasticising admixture which is 25 times the strength of conventional products.
Opti-Mix forms extremely stable air bubbles in mortar mixes. This improves the workability of mortar, giving it a “buttery” consistency and helps prevent shrinkage, cracking, crazing and mild frost damage during the curing process, as well as providing long term resistance to freeze/thaw cycles. OPTI-MIX replaces lime in the mix and hence reduces the chance of efflorescence (salt formation) and smoothes out variations between separate batches of sand and cement.
