Dear Customers,

As we move through February, I thought it would be helpful to provide you with a Bradfords Business and Service update.

 

INFLATION

I had really hoped this was behind us but with continued delays at ports, container prices, rising energy costs, aggregate levy, carbon tax and the removal of red diesel, inflation looks like it will continue for the next few months. We continue to interrogate the detail of price rise increases, and I am hugely encouraged by the progress many of our suppliers are making to ensure that the likes of the plastic packaging tax have minimal impact.

 

STOCK

We continue to carry record levels of stock and our availability continues to improve. Lightweight blocks remain challenging with our allocation being reduced this year. No manufacturers have any spare capacity so please do plan at least 4-6 weeks ahead.

As ever, with things remaining volatile please do plan and speak to our sales teams about any projects you have as early as you can to ensure we have the stock in for when you need it and can mitigate longer lead times or future known price increases.

 

BRADVANTAGE

Bradvantage, our customer loyalty scheme, is once again open to new registrations. Simply go to bradvantage.co.uk, all you need to do is register using your Bradfords account number and email address. Existing Bradvantage customers do not need to re-register, simply log-in using your existing details and select the reward you would like for 2022. We are proud to have distributed over £1.5m in rewards to our customers in 2021.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

We have record levels of resource in the branches to ensure you can get the products you need when you need them. We have increased our focus on customer service and are developing a few key initiatives to improve the service we offer.

  • Click and collect – 30 minutes for shop product and within an hour for all other products. Please do utilise this service via our website today.
  • We have increased our delivered capacity across our branch estate to ensure we can get materials to your site when you need them. We are currently operating a same day or next day delivery across most of our sites.
  • The website is being rebuilt and goes live in April. This updated site will bring new functionality to make it easier for you to connect with us.
  • A new APP is being launched in April to allow you to connect with us in whichever way you want.
     

On Friday we were awarded ‘Builders Merchant of the Year’ and ‘Sustainable Initiative of the Year’ at the Builders Merchant News Awards in London. It is great to be recognised by your peers however it is you our customers that make us what we are – thank you.
