Bradfords is pleased to share our inaugural Sustainability Report for 2022.
Setting out our commitment to becoming a more sustainable business, this report summarises our progress so far, and will be a benchmark for progress in future years.

What is in the report?
Over the last two years, we have developed a robust approach, which uses the ‘ESG’ framework of environmental, social and governance considerations to develop and test our business strategies, in addition to traditional financial approaches. We consulted with employers, customers, suppliers and shareholders to determine the seven key ESG-related topics where Bradfords can have the greatest positive impact on our environment and our society.
The report summarises our activity under each, capturing risks, opportunities and areas of focus as well as key performance metrics that will allow us to compare directly in future years.
What is Bradfords focusing on?
Decarbonisation, Waste, Responsible Sourcing, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, People Development, Colleague Retention and Community Support are the seven themes which we are focusing our efforts on. There are several key priorities under each, from reducing the percentage of waste to landfill to increasing training days for employees and working with suppliers to track and prove the integrity of our supply chain.
Each topic sees us engage widely with our key stakeholders, including our customers, and this year’s report features a number of examples and case studies from across the business.
However, this report is not a static document, and all the initiatives are improved by collaboration and participation.
