Somerset County Council are carrying out work to improve the drainage around Station road, Ilminster. As a result a 550 metre stretch of the road will be closed to all motorists for the duration of the work.
Bradfords Building Supplies will remain open as usual during planned works at Station Road. Customers who normally access the branch via the A303 (Honiton) or A358 (Taunton) the official diversion route for all vehicles will be to take the A378 towards Curry Rivel and then the B3168 into Ilminster via New Road.
Alternatively customers could take the A303 to South Petherton from the Southfields Roundabout and then come into Ilminster via Lopen and enter Ilminster via Townsend. If you are entering Ilminster from Honiton take the A358 towards Chard and turn off at Peasmarsh to enter Ilminster via Sea. Please see the map on the reverse for further details.
It is anticipated that the work will take five weeks to complete and will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will take place between Home Farm Way and the site of the old Horlicks Factory, while the second phase will run from Home Farm Way to Hazelwell Lodge.
We would like to apologise for the short term disruption and inconvenience. We will continue to update you on any developments relating to the project.
We would like to stress that Bradfords will be OPEN AS USUAL AND THAT SERVICES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us in branch, or give us a call on 01460 54551. More information about the planned work can be found on Somerset County Council’s website: www.somerset.gov.uk
