Bradfords Building Supplies (‘BBS’) has opened a new branch at Blandford which will serve customers and clients in North Dorset and surrounding areas.
BBS has purchased Blandford Forum Timber Limited in Holland Way - and is also renting a neighbouring warehouse measuring 9,000 square feet.
The investment across the one-acre site involves the development of a new builders’ merchants operation, and the construction of a new yard, shop and trade counter. The facility will provide a full range of building and construction materials including extensive range timber & insulation.
This will be followed soon afterwards by the opening of a new kitchen and bathroom showroom and a tool hire business. The branch will also benefit from new counter screen technology and the latest purchase and payment systems to ensure efficient placement of orders and delivery.
The opening is a significant addition to the network of BBS branches – with 34 outlets now operating across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Bradfords Group Chief Executive Mark Eburne said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to provide the full range of building and other materials demanded by our clients. Our New Year opening in Blandford supports our strategy of providing the highest levels of service to both the building profession and also our retail customers.”
